Identity of the Art section

The combination of the Arts stream is specific to the Arts section of the Kegalu Balika Vidyalaya.  The outstanding programs are Media Day, Language Day, Arts Day, Debate competitions, oratory, Creative Writing, poems, and all the other extra and co–curricular activities which will be held on nominated days suggested by the management committee.  The organizing committee has decided to hold the morning assembly on Wednesday morning as well to enlighten the creativity of the students.  The numbers of students in the section are

Grade 12 – 170, Grade 13 – 196

The subjects followed by the students are

Sinhala, Political Science,Geography, Agriculture, Media, Aesthetic subjects such as Music, Dancing, Art, Drama and theater, Economics, Buddhist, Civilization

Language Subjects such as German, Hindi, Japanese, English literature, French, Greek and Roman civilization
